Thermal cutting processes often leave burrs, scale, and sharp edges on the edges of workpieces, which can negatively impact the quality of the final product and work safety. AEP deburring machines effectively remove these imperfections, ensuring a uniform finish across the entire perimeter of the workpiece, regardless of its shape.

Two belt units – effective surface preparation

The first stage of processing is carried out by two wide abrasive belts, which are responsible for even grinding of the workpiece surface.

Their tasks are:

  • removing scale created during thermal cutting,
  • eliminating thermal discoloration,
  • leveling the material surface,
  • removing minor irregularities,
  • preparing the surface before powder coating, galvanizing, or further processing.

The use of two subsequent units enables gradual processing of the material using different gradations of abrasive material, which allows for high-quality finishing while maintaining high process efficiency.

Three brush units – perfect edge finishing

After the grinding stage, the workpiece is transferred to a set of three Counter-rotating brush units.

Their main tasks are:

  • removing burr after cutting,
  • eliminating microburrs,
  • rounding sharp edges,
  • smoothing external and internal contours,
  • machining holes and complex geometries.

The rotating movement of the brushes allows for uniform edge processing regardless of the direction of their movement. This ensures a uniform rounding radius on both external and internal edges, even on very complex-shaped workpieces. The three-stage brush arrangement ensures high burr removal efficiency while maintaining the dimensional accuracy of the processed workpieces.

Magnetic Transport System

When machining ferromagnetic steel components, the use of a magnetic belt ensures secure retention of the component throughout the deburring and grinding process. This solution effectively prevents even small components from shifting under the influence of the working units, ensuring high stability and repeatable processing quality.

Vacuum Transport System

For non-magnetic materials, such as austenitic stainless steel, aluminum, brass, or copper, a version equipped with a vacuum system is available. Thanks to the even distribution of suction force, the components remain firmly held on the surface of the transport belt, enabling safe and precise processing of even thin and lightweight components.

High Temperature Resistance

The transport belt is made of materials adapted to work in an environment where components are processed immediately after thermal cutting processes. Increased resistance to elevated temperatures ensures high durability and reliability even during intensive use.

Surface with increased grip

The specially developed belt surface structure is characterized by an increased coefficient of friction, significantly improving the grip of processed parts. This reduces the risk of slippage during the operation of grinding and brushing units and increases the stability of the components throughout the process.

The combination of high mechanical resistance, thermal resistance, and the ability to choose between magnetic and vacuum systems makes the AEP conveyor belt a reliable component of the entire finishing process. It ensures stable material transport, long service life, and optimal working conditions regardless of the type of components being processed or the production intensity.

One of the key elements of AEP deburring machines is the high-strength conveyor belt, designed for reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. It is responsible for stable guidance of workpieces through subsequent processing zones, ensuring high precision and process repeatability. Depending on the machine configuration, AEP deburring machines can be equipped with a magnetic transport system or a vacuum system, allowing the machine to be adapted to various types of materials and thicknesses of workpieces.

The controller allows full control over the deburring, grinding, and edge rounding process, ensuring high processing repeatability and the ability to quickly adjust parameters to the type of material and the desired end result.

Using the touchscreen, the operator can easily manage all key functions of the device, including:

  • workpiece transport speed,
  • rotational speed of the working units,
  • rotation direction of selected units,
  • working height of the units,
  • pressure force of the tools on the processed material,
  • configuration of individual process stages,
  • starting or stopping selected working units,
  • transport system parameters,
  • diagnostic functions and service.

Thanks to the centralization of all settings, the operator can quickly prepare the machine for processing new parts without the need for complex mechanical adjustments.

  • working height of the units,

  • operation order of individual modules,
  • process configuration for various materials and sheet thicknesses.

Thanks to the wide adjustment range, it is possible to achieve both delicate finishing of thin elements and intensive deburring of parts made of thicker materials.

The rotating nature of the brushes allows for effective edge processing regardless of their orientation relative to the direction of transport. This is particularly important for parts with numerous holes, radii, contours, and complex geometries.

The result is:

  • uniform rounding of outer and inner edges,
  • effective removal of microburrs,
  • maintaining high-quality finish even with complex details.
